What You’ll Do:
- Manage bi-weekly payroll processing across all Cosán entities
- Maintain up-to-date payroll records including hires, terminations, changes, bonuses, and deductions
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws
- Oversee year-end activities including W-2 and 1095 distribution
- Administer benefits including medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans
- Serve as the point of contact for employee benefits inquiries and support
- Coordinate benefits enrollments, terminations, and changes
- Support accurate benefit data entry into HRIS and payroll systems
- Assist with journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close
- Prepare operational and financial reports related to payroll and benefits
- Support internal, external, and government audit processes
- Collaborate with HR and Finance to align payroll and compliance processes
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives and special projects as needed

Required Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, Business Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in payroll, benefits administration, and accounting
- Experience with payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paylocity, Paychex)
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks)
- Understanding of payroll regulations (FLSA, ERISA, etc.)
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, Business Administration, or related field
- Experience processing payroll for a multi-state organization

Work Environment & Requirements:

- In-person travel required 4–6 times per month for meetings and collaboration
